Fri morning classic ski was awesome though there are stretches with gravel exposed, so care is advised. Hopefully no grooming overnight when it is wet, so we can maybe have decent conditions for lessons in the morning.
Just finished a skate ski at Killarney and found it very good, a few cm of snow over the hard base gave a pleasant surprise albeit a bit slow due to the moisture content. The loops on the main trails are good but a few rocks down from the Lone Pine to be aware of. Looks like classic is good and no problem with the kick and glide although the tracks aren’t set. Enjoy!
The Woodlot is in a lot better shape. Best to head there.
There are a ton of rocks on the outer trails. I wouldn’t go passed the #7 easy loop. Ski with extreme caution. Unless you’ve got rock skis, I’d say just stay off.
Has anyone skied Killarney Trails? A ski report would be nice!
There are sections of the trails that aren’t that bad, best be a good intermediate or above skate skier. Trails are hard packed with sections of looming ice and rocks. Yes, it’s skiable with caution, but we need a bit more snow then one can relax and ski.
