  • Hi all,
Today the 10th Feb the city is doing some major snow moving to help us prepare for the Master’s ski race coming up next week. They have asked us to stay clear of the trails to allow them to work. Because of the thin covering of snow, we decided we needed major help in order to host.
We are also calling out to volunteers to help shovel snow out on the trails where there are thin spots. We have 3 times set so far for groups to go out. Today at 4pm-5:30 (after city crews are done) and Wed (11th) 10-12 and 4-5:30pm. Bring shovels and skis and get a whole body workout! Look forward to seeing you there. One last note: today’s work will be trying to put some snow on tracks between old and new stadiums and maybe some of the red’s thin spots (so you know where to find us if you are late). Thanks so much!!

  • Something happened at Killarney since yesterday. The skate lane has gotten very thin in places and some of the grooming has left the surface wavy or scalloped. More importantly, in more areas that were fine in the past few days, there are pebbles coming to the surface and will stop you in your tracks. Not to mention the scar on your base. I know this was true on the hill of #7 but now there are more areas. So, beware. The classic tracks still look fine for the most part. Enjoy.

  • Such nice conditions at Killarney Lake today. Both classic and skate awesome! (Just stay off #7 going up or down the hill.)

  • Killarney Lake did not disappoint today! Temperatures became milder, the classic tracks were great, the sun came out and no wind. The skating track was freshly groomed. Get out if you can. Thanks groomers!

  • Sure, we’d all like some more snow and there are some “Dirty” patches along the trails but for the most part, it is GREAT! Time to ski! Thanks to all the groomers, great skiing!

  • Noon outing and #4 is still holding up well excluding a brief thin patch near Lone Pine Cafe, but still passable. I did #6 clockwise and it was very good good still. Hit the return piece of #3 back to the spaghetti intersection, and it was in so-so condition.

  • Nice to get out with warmer temperatures today. Some trails are holding up fairly well with the thin cover but a few aren’t doing as well. #7 is no longer worthwhile with the gravel and rocks poking through heavily. The start of #2 isn’t the best but once you get down the first hill it’s in ok shape. Most of #4 is still pretty decent too. More snow soon hopefully ❄🤞❄🤞
