Had a great skate ski on some of the inner and outer Killarney trails today. It was great to see that the Pisten-Bulley was out there getting the surface in good shape going into the sintering cold spell coming this weekend. Thanks to the Killarney grooming team!
Thursday 22nd, trails were being rolled today despite not showing on Nordic Pulse. Soft surface, good classic skiing.
Tho nothing is showing on my nordic pulse, I was just by the killarney lodge and it looks like the groomer has been out for at least a couple of passes. Untracked as of 12:30.
@Yogi – Was that classic or skate? I’m wondering if going for a skate is worthwhile or not?
Did a quick ski and the parts that were groomed were quite decent. Ice underneath with fluffy stuff on top so a little hard to dig poles in.
Will the classic ski tracks be traced soon at Killarney?
Update! I see that Nordic Pulse is activated and groomers are out on the trails. Thank you groomers!
Does anyone know what the City’s plans are for grooming today? 🤞
Finally we got some snow. That’s good news.
Rex and I are both a bit busy but we will be out around 2:00 pm to roll. Bob.
Note – This should be on the Woodlot blog.
