  • The classic tracks were great, and the grooming covered the rough spots. Of course, Monday’s forecasted snow will be welcomed.

Groomer Bob reports that he has set track, the skating deck is fairly firm, and there are lots of skier tracks.
Bob is still out grooming and I beleive Groomer Rex is out as well.

  • Trails are rolled. Tried to groom but the skidoo wouldn’t haul as the ginzu just snowplowed. If the trails firm up tonight we will groom and set track tomorrow.

  • Pretty good skiing if you know where the odd rock is located. Thanks groomers! Hoping for more snow Wednesday night.

  • Skied today not bad but still short on snow. Not enougĥ snow for good classic tracks. Thanks for all the effort to groom trails.

  • There is decent snow coverage throughout the woodlot as of 14:00 today. The extra 3 cm that fell last night has made a difference and the last warm spell (once frozen again) has left a thin icy base that protects against most ground contact. There were lots of classic skiers out today and the going looked good. The absence of grooming today after the fresh snow made it tough for us skate skiers, but perhaps tomorrow, after a touch up, things will be better.

      • Smiley smile! And I cleared all the snow off the picnic table so it should be toasty dry for a pit stop tomorrow. Thanks for all you do Bob! The groomers rule!

  • Hi there – for out of towners please tell us how much snow you got and when. Sometimes it is snowy here in SJ or raining and icy in Fredericton. It’s hard to tell how conditions are this winter. We have had green grass and snow here all in past week lol. One minute it is too icy and the next minute we have inches fresh snow. Just appreciate it if you can keep in mind not all skiers are right there in Fredton thank you so
    Much!

    • Bob and I rolled about 10 cm of light snow yesterday. We got about 2 cm overnight which has not been rolled. I skied late this morning and had a good ski. Skier made classic tracks.

  • We skied in from the Radisson without any major issues. We followed the Hwy trail, avoiding the steep cart path. Snow cover is much improved, though it remains thin in a few spots. The Connector to the Woodlot is in much better shape than it was last week. Thanks to Bob and Rex for rolling.

  • “Rolled” means ready for skate skiers, but no classic tracks, correct? I’m guessing there isn’t enough snow to set classic tracks, but I figured I’d check.

    • No set tracks. Skier tracks and lots of classic skiers. Need a bit more snow to use the ginzu and the tracksetter is part of the ginzu.
