Our Philosophy
The goal of the Wostawea Ski Team is to provide an opportunity to train, laugh, learn, and challenge each other to grow stronger – together in a team environment.

Our Objective
The objective of the Wostawea ski team is to provide a training environment that supports each participant in developing their athletic potential holistically, both as individuals, and as members of the team and community.

Athlete Development
The Wostawea Ski Team is the next progression from our Jackrabbit and Track Attack program.
U12 Development Team (born 2013 & 2014)
~ Fun, Fitness, Adventure & Challenge ~
The U12 Development Team is designed for Track Attack participants who are enthusiastic about cross country skiing and seek a more immersive experience. This 7-month program aims to enhance technical competence, athletic ability, and social confidence within an energetic team environment. Through games, challenges and multi-sport activities, the program promotes physical literacy, speed and overall fitness. It is ideal for skiers who have advanced beyond Level 4 Jackrabbits and will also take part in the Wostawea Learn to Ski Track Attack program.
U14 Development Team (born 2011 & 2012)
~ Skill, Endurance, Speed, Camaraderie, Competition ~
A 7-month program for skiers wanting to develop their full athletic literacy; technique, aerobic base, speed and strength. The U14 program offers a comprehensive approach to cross country ski training, encompassing both physical and social aspects, providing young skiers with an enriching and empowering experience. Participants will be encouraged to participate in local and regional races and events.
Senior & Varsity Team (14+ born 2010 and earlier)
~ Leadership, Refinement, Responsibility, Ownership, Competition or Challenge ~
A year round program to enhance fitness and/or race performance. The Senior team supports high school age students as well as athletes transitioning into post-secondary education who want to train and race as part of a team. Senior team members are supported with a yearly training plan to prepare each skier the opportunity to perform to their potential regionally and nationally.
